Right now my livebearer tank is all off with its ratios of male:female per species... I have 5 female Platies and 1 male. 3 male Mollies to 1 female, and 2 male Guppies to 1 female. This in all reality is an issue for breeding however only one male molly chases the female..the platy boy is younger and smaller than the females and they are all pregnant..and the female guppy is a new addition..the males have been chasing the bright colored platy girls..now with the female guppy in there they STILL chase the platies and are ignoring her! But she looks pregnant as well so who knows! What a confused mixed up bunch I have right now!

That happens! Bu you are aware of it that despite of the fact that most males of these kinds of livebearers chase the females on a continous bases, that the female itself will choose a specific male to fertilize her? Wll, I do see that this topic has been posted last year. So, how did it all end up?
